Terms of Service
Terms for using SkinEditor.org and its local game-skin editing tools.
Last updated: 2026-07-17
Acceptance
By using SkinEditor.org, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website. These terms apply to the public website, browser-based editors, checkers, converters, viewers, templates, and guides that we make available.
The service
SkinEditor.org provides independent tools for creating and working with game-character skins and clothing files. The current editor is anonymous and local-first. It does not provide accounts, subscriptions, paid credits, cloud storage, or a public gallery.
Features may change, be corrected, or be removed. A tool page will only claim support for formats that its current interface can actually process. Game platforms may change their formats and upload rules independently of us.
Your files and responsibility
You retain any rights you have in original artwork you create. You are responsible for ensuring that files you open, edit, download, or use do not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract, or other rights.
Do not use the service to create or distribute unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, deceptive, or rights-infringing content. Do not attempt to impersonate an official game product or falsely claim endorsement.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Attack, overload, scrape excessively, or disrupt the website.
- Bypass technical restrictions or security controls.
- Use automated traffic to create fraudulent advertising activity.
- Inject malicious code or attempt to access another user’s device or local data.
- Misrepresent SkinEditor.org as an official Mojang, Microsoft, Roblox, or other platform service.
Local drafts and downloads
Local drafts are stored by your browser and may be lost if browser data is cleared, storage is unavailable, the device fails, or the implementation changes. Keep your own backup copies. We are not responsible for loss of a local draft or exported file.
Third-party platforms and trademarks
SkinEditor.org is independent. It is not an official Minecraft or Roblox product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang, Microsoft, or Roblox. Third-party names are used descriptively to explain compatible formats and workflows. Your use of an exported file remains subject to the rules, technical requirements, moderation, and terms of the destination platform.
Advertising and external links
The website may display advertising or links to third-party resources. An advertisement or link does not mean we endorse the third party. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Ads must not be interpreted as editor controls or download buttons.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every platform version, acceptance of a file by a third-party service, or preservation of local drafts. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SkinEditor.org and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of revenue, or platform moderation decisions arising from use of the website.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date above identifies the latest version. For legal or general inquiries, email support@skineditor.org.
