Choose Pants for lower-body wrapping
Classic Pants are appropriate when artwork needs to cover the lower torso and legs. They can represent trousers, skirts interpreted through the Classic map, shorts, socks, shoes, armor, or a coordinated lower half. A Shirt and Pants can share the same outside canvas dimensions while addressing different surfaces, so changing a filename never converts one type into the other.

Build on a stable canvas
Begin with an authorized 585×559 RGBA reference and preserve the dimensions. Use Blank Roblox Pants Template for a transparent browser-generated canvas or Roblox Pants Template for a planning-oriented page.
Maintain a layered source file. Separate waist, fabric, seams, pockets, belts, legs, cuffs, socks, shoe uppers, soles, shadows, and temporary guides. A flattened PNG is a delivery artifact, not the only source of truth.
Do not trace a third-party catalog item without permission. A blank canvas supplies no rights to copied brands, uniforms, characters, or another creator’s pattern.
Plan the waist transition
The waist is where Pants interact with a Shirt. Decide whether the Shirt overlaps, ends above, or visually continues into the lower torso. Compare colors and shading across the boundary before adding detailed leg artwork.
When the design is intended as a set, open both files together in the Roblox outfit maker. Check whether a belt, waistband, jacket hem, dress panel, or armor segment aligns. Save paired revision numbers so an updated Shirt is not accidentally reviewed with old Pants.
Design both legs completely
Plan front, back, outer side, inner side, cuff, and lower surfaces for each leg. Inner faces are easy to overlook in a flat atlas and become obvious during movement. Shoes require attention to the front, side, heel, and sole; a top-only shoe shape will look unfinished after wrapping.
Asymmetry can be intentional. If one leg contains a logo, pocket, stripe, or patch, verify which side should display it. Mirroring can reverse letters and directional symbols. Use obvious temporary colors while testing orientation, then replace them with final artwork.
Control edges, blur, and alpha
Hard pixel edges suit many Classic Clothing styles. Smooth painting can also be intentional, but repeated scaling introduces partial-alpha pixels, near-duplicate colors, and blurred seams. Work from the layered master at target size whenever possible.
Review on checker, light, and dark backgrounds. A transparent gap at the waist, cuff, or shoe edge may be hidden against one color. Do not flatten onto white merely to hide a halo.
Export the Pants PNG
Hide every guide and label, then export a 585×559 RGBA PNG. Reopen the exported file to confirm dimensions and transparency. Avoid screenshots, JPEG, crop-to-content, and tools that silently resize the canvas.
Name files clearly, such as cargo-pants-v04.png, and keep earlier accepted revisions. If a checker reports the wrong dimensions, correct the source document and create a new export rather than stretching the already flattened image.
Check the technical file
Use the Roblox Pants checker to inspect decoded dimensions, type evidence, alpha, coverage, and suspicious edges. Use the general Roblox clothing checker when comparing different asset intents.
Technical validation cannot certify that pockets face forward or that shoes align. It also cannot approve rights or moderation. Combine numerical evidence with visual rig review.
Preview R6 and R15
Open the Pants in Roblox Clothing Preview. Rotate through front, back, both sides, inner legs, cuffs, heels, and soles. Compare R6 and R15 approximations and test more than one background.

Review normal gameplay distance
Close inspection finds pixel defects, while normal distance tests visual hierarchy. Thin stripes, tiny pockets, and subtle shoe details may disappear. Confirm that the overall color blocks and silhouette still communicate the intended outfit without extreme zoom.
Test movement if authorized platform tools provide it. Inner-leg seams and rear surfaces may appear acceptable in a static front view and fail during a walk or pose.
Publication and rights boundary
Complete the Roblox Clothing upload preflight and consult current official creator documentation immediately before any upload. Eligibility, fees, supported asset categories, interfaces, and policies can change. Use official account tools; never give credentials to an unrelated clothing utility.
Archive proof of permission for licensed elements. A technically correct 585×559 file can still violate copyright, trademark, privacy, or platform content rules.
Keep the project reproducible
Store the layered Pants source, final PNG, paired Shirt revision, checker evidence, rig screenshots, and checklist report. Record which rig, view, and background exposed each issue. This makes corrections explainable and prevents a reviewer from testing the wrong pair.
