Download a complete Classic Clothing starting pack
This Roblox clothing template tool creates one local ZIP containing four self-created 585×559 PNG files: transparent Shirt and Pants canvases plus labeled planning versions for each type. A README repeats the limitations of the planning artwork. Everything is generated in the browser without an account, upload endpoint, or database.
The pack is intended to organize a new Classic Clothing project. It does not copy or redistribute an official platform template. The colored planning rectangles are broad orientation aids, not authoritative UV coordinates. Before publishing, compare placement with a current authorized reference and preview the artwork on the intended avatar.
What the ZIP contains
The archive includes roblox-shirt-blank-585x559.png, roblox-shirt-planning-585x559.png, roblox-pants-blank-585x559.png, roblox-pants-planning-585x559.png, and README.txt. The two blank files are fully transparent RGBA canvases. The planning files contain labeled, self-created zones that help separate torso and arm thinking for Shirt work, and waist and leg thinking for Pants work.
The planning image visible on the page changes when Shirt or Pants is selected, but the ZIP always includes both types and both modes. This makes it useful for a project folder, classroom handout, or team asset checklist without requiring four separate downloads.
Every PNG remains exactly 585 pixels wide and 559 pixels high. The ZIP uses stored entries and is assembled locally. Unzipping does not require special software beyond a normal archive utility.
Blank canvas versus planning reference
A blank transparent canvas gives full control and contains no guide pixels to remove. It is the safest starting file when a verified template is already available in another reference layer. Transparency is preserved, so artwork can be added without creating an accidental opaque background.
If the project needs only one clean Shirt or Pants file instead of the full archive, use the Transparent Roblox Clothing Template. It exposes the asset selector and downloads one fully transparent 585×559 PNG.
The planning version provides visual grouping but must not be uploaded as finished clothing. Its labels, colored rectangles, dashed borders, and warning are deliberately visible pixels. Put it beneath an editable art layer, reduce its opacity in the editor, and hide it before final export.
Neither file can determine which exact pixels a current platform importer will wrap around a body. Template requirements and moderation behavior can change. Always consult current official creator documentation before spending significant design time or upload fees.
Shirt and Pants are separate asset types
Classic Shirt artwork addresses the torso and arms. Classic Pants artwork addresses the waist and legs. They share the familiar 585×559 canvas size, but they are not interchangeable uploads. A Shirt image cannot become Pants merely by changing its filename.
For a square graphic displayed on the front of the torso rather than a wrapped Classic Shirt or Pants texture, start with the Roblox T-Shirt Template. Its 512×512 canvas serves a different asset intent.
Keep file names explicit and store layered sources separately. A practical structure might contain shirt-source, pants-source, exported PNGs, preview screenshots, and a short note recording the date and reference used. Clear organization prevents an old guide from being mistaken for a final asset.
Use the Roblox Shirt Maker for Shirt-focused editing and the Roblox Pants Maker for Pants-focused editing. Each workspace includes local creation and inspection tools rather than requiring the ZIP to be edited on this page.
Recommended workflow
Download and extract the pack. Choose the relevant blank PNG as the real canvas and the matching planning PNG as a temporary reference. Open both in an editor that preserves exact dimensions and alpha transparency. Disable automatic resizing and avoid flattening the checkerboard into a background color.
Create artwork on separate layers. Extend patterns beyond the visible front panel into the appropriate side and back areas using a verified layout. Inspect sleeve, shoulder, waist, inner-leg, and outer-leg transitions. Directional graphics and text may need rotation or mirroring on particular surfaces.
Export an RGBA PNG at 585×559. Do not crop to visible artwork, add padding, or save a screenshot of the editor. Run the Roblox clothing checker to confirm decoded dimensions, MIME, alpha behavior, edge conditions, and obvious structural issues.
Then use the Roblox Clothing Preview to review the image on both R6 and R15 approximations. A local preview is evidence, not a guarantee of platform acceptance, but it can expose misplaced panels and seams before upload.
Alpha, transparency, and empty space
Transparent pixels are essential in many clothing workflows. Alpha zero means the pixel is invisible; alpha 255 means it is opaque. General photo software may replace transparency with white, black, or another solid color. Verify the exported file in a checker rather than trusting a thumbnail.
Partial alpha can render differently across environments and can contribute to soft or muddy edges. Crisp pixel or vector-derived boundaries often work better when transparency is deliberate. Avoid accidental semitransparent halos caused by antialiasing against a colored background.
The blank files in this pack are completely transparent. That is intentional. They contain no hidden design, official guide, watermark, or tracking data.
R6 and R15 preview considerations
Classic Clothing uses a 2D image while avatars can have different body proportions. R6 has a blockier six-part structure. R15 introduces more segments and proportion variation. One flat image can stretch or meet seams differently on each preview.
Use Roblox R6 vs R15 Clothing to compare the practical differences. Test the final file on the avatar types relevant to the audience. Do not claim universal fit from a single screenshot.
What this pack does not provide
It is not a Layered Clothing mesh, cage, rig, or 3D garment. It does not upload files, verify ownership, check moderation, reserve a catalog item, or guarantee sales. It also does not include third-party logos, characters, or copied clothing artwork.
Classic Clothing and Layered Clothing are different production systems. If a project requires meshes, cages, rigging, deformation, or 3D accessories, this 2D pack is not the correct technical starting point.
Privacy and rights
The canvases, PNG encoding, README, and ZIP are created in browser memory. No chosen preview type or generated byte is transmitted. Closing the page discards the active state after any download is complete.
Create only artwork you own or have permission to use. A blank technical canvas does not grant rights to branded graphics or copied designs. SkinEditor.org is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation.
Frequently asked questions
Are the planning rectangles an official UV template?
No. They are clearly labeled, self-created orientation aids. Verify final placement with current authorized references.
Does the ZIP contain both Shirt and Pants?
Yes. It contains transparent and planning PNGs for both asset types plus a README.
Can I upload the planning PNG directly?
No. Its labels and guide colors are visible. Use it only as a temporary reference layer.
Are files processed on a server?
No. PNG and ZIP generation happen locally in the browser.
